I have resorted to making my kids do wall sits and other exercise as a time out. One of my darlings was particularly ticked off at me for being so mean. He eventually sat against the wall. He was soon joined by his baby brother who toddled over and tried his best to sit against the wall with his big brother. His effort so sincere and his smile so genuine that we all started laughing, the time out ended early, but the attitude change was achieved through a baby brother's love.
Mister is expecially darling this morning. At breakfast he slid over on the bench to snuggle with me as we ate our oatmeal. Then as I was relaxing on the couch as Dad was getting ready to run some errands, he grabbed his shoes, gave me a kiss, and headed to the door. At least he knows what is important in life. Mommies and shoes!
